Our pledge to our juniors

OUR PLEDGE TO OUR JUNIORS

Ignite has been built with young people at its heart.

This pledge is inspired by the legacy of Wingrove Manners, who spent a large part of his life coaching children through sport. Whether it was tennis, football, or simply taking the time to listen, Wingrove believed sport was one of the best ways to guide young people — giving them structure, confidence, and a positive outlet. For many children, the court or pitch was where they learned discipline, respect, and belief in themselves.

That same approach continues through Jermaine Manners. For over a decade, Jermaine has delivered specialised sports coaching in schools, working with children of all ages and abilities. The sessions weren’t just about sport — they were about keeping kids engaged, building confidence, and creating an environment where learning felt natural. Those lessons, shaped over years of real experience, now sit at the core of Ignite’s junior programme.

Alongside this, Jermaine also runs a successful driving school, teaching both young people and adults. Known for its high pass rates and strong word-of-mouth, the business reflects the same values seen at Ignite: patience, clear communication, consistency, and genuine care for each individual’s progress.

At Ignite, our promise to parents and guardians is simple:

  • Your child will be coached with care, respect, and patience

  • Sessions will be structured, safe, and age-appropriate

  • Confidence and character matter just as much as ability

  • Every child is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow

Ignite isn’t about rushing kids through sport or pushing results. It’s about giving them a positive space to move, learn, socialise, and build habits that stay with them long after the session ends.
